Description of training
Training Finance for procurement provides participants with the practical knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the financial world in an informed manner. The programme addresses the common problem of „indigestible” financial language. It shows how to understand it, decode it and use it in everyday purchasing decisions so as to have a substantive dialogue with CFOs and other business stakeholders.
Every purchasing decision, regardless of its scale and where it is made in the organisation, has specific financial consequences. A proper understanding of these is crucial to the achievement of business objectives and the long-term development of the company in line with management's vision. Therefore, those responsible for purchasing and making business decisions, even if they are not financiers, should understand the basic financial mechanisms and their impact on the company's bottom line.
Participants will learn to use financial terminology with ease, which will significantly improve cooperation with the finance, controlling, sales, logistics and accounting departments. The programme introduces the key concepts, concepts, methods and tools used in financial analysis and business management, with particular emphasis on the purchasing perspective.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to correctly analyse and interpret financial data, assess the effects of decisions taken in the short and long term and better understand the relationship between processes in the organisation and the financial result. An important element of the training is to work with practical examples; participants can submit their own issues and cases „from the life of the company” to be discussed during the workshop.
