Description of training

LEAN for Buyers is an intensive, two-day practical training course designed for purchasing professionals who want to more effectively identify and exploit opportunities to reduce costs in the supply chain. The workshop programme focuses on implementing operational excellence with suppliers and developing the competencies of buyers in the area of process improvement, not just price negotiation.

During the training, participants learn to recognise waste and inefficiencies in production processes and apply LEAN tools to propose real improvements that generate savings. Developing the ability to measure and communicate the impact of LEAN initiatives on an organisation's business performance is also an important element of the workshop.

The training is based on real case work and a structured workshop approach, enabling buyers to strengthen their role as partners with suppliers in value creation. Participants gain practical experience that enables them to engage suppliers more effectively in performance-based collaboration and joint process improvement.
