What lessons will we surely learn from the situation we all find ourselves in in pandemic year 2020? Well, one that business strategies, especially in the supply chain area, need to change. A z „profit driven” must give way to thinking and acting based on „risk management”. Risk management cannot be an ad hoc and occasional process for larger projects. A structured, professional risk management process should be the DNA of every organisation.
This workshop, is dedicated to procurement and supply chain staff and other functions in the organisation responsible for negotiating and contracting services with the organisation's external partners.
The workshop is divided into sections according to the type of risks: those arising from the organisation itself and those flowing from the supply chain and specific suppliers.
Key Programme Topics
Participants sort out the concept of risk in the context of purchasing and the supply chain. They learn about its most common sources, how to identify it and the role of suppliers and internal partners in preventing problems
This section shows how to consciously manage risk within a purchasing category. It focuses on the role of the category manager, the impact of the market and business environment and tools to support continuity of supply
Participants learn how to assess suppliers, interpret warning signs and work with other departments to manage risk. Scenarios for difficult relationships and safe exit strategies are also discussed
A section on risk at the RFx, tendering and contract execution stages. Participants will learn about the most common mistakes, suppliers' foul play and the elements of effective and safe contract management
